Why would these guys lie to us en masse?


How do you know more than scientists who's entire fact finding processes are based on reality?


I've been a backpacker for 25 years, and I've seen the environment become more stressed (at least in the western half of the US), it's undeniable.


I am absolutely stunned at how some people don't believe that our pollution creating existence is a non issue.


Without resorting to little juvenile partisan bloviations, how can you show me the these scientists (who deal with actual REAL data) are full of it?

Why do you feel that Global Warming is a sham?
The real question is....Are humans causing it? There are no good answers to that.

Forgetting that, you understand that the world has been both far colder and far warmer than now dont you? You are aware that the sea level has been both higher and lower dont you? You are aware of the Ice Ages and subsequent warming periods arent you? The extinction of the majority of the planets species??? The fact that in most of the places that are thawing, there are ancient forests and other things that prove that those areas were once NOT frozen??? There is so much to question about the whole manmade theory the least of which is not that it is literally a multi billion dollar industry and is as likely as not all about the money and government control (one world government at that).


We should still be concerned about things like water pollution and emissions because they are still not good but being an extremist and denying history and of course blindly allowing a small group of elitists to rob you blind while asserting more control over you is ridiculous

Reply:If I may take a balanced educated approach you want to look at evolution. It is still a theory, yet some people want to get the term theory removed without additional evidence. Many people who know no better think it is a generally accepted scientific fact and do not realize that some of the models used are known to be fabricated (still used in textbooks, though) and scientists have had to resort to hoaxes (see Piltdown man) to further the cause for a lack of evidence.


The issue of global warming (being caused by man) is not accepted universally among the scientific or intellectual community. We have to understand the media will promote whatever’s popular and not the whole balanced argument (that’s why very few teens believe that one can be a virgin until married, because sex is pushed so hard as the norm). Al Gore’s “An Inconvenient Truth” was taken to a British court over 9 factual errors (contrary to what his spokeman said, the judge did use the word “errors”). Another document published by the Science and Public Policy Institute mentions 35 errors. Gore’s spokesperson mostly doubletalked through most of the allegations saying things like “thousands of facts were presented” when in actuality there was not enough time for thousands of facts but only a few dozen were presented and many embellished and held in question.


The research shows that changes in the polar ice caps are not as the media suggests and the earth has actually had a history of cooling and warming on it’s own before the industrial age, even to the point of current levels we see to day and more.


Knowing scientists helps as well. I know a theoretical physicist who always tells me, “The same equation used to determine the mass of Pluto can be turned around to get something nasty coming out of a landfill.” Meaning that we can easily duped by the most observed groups of “experts” to believe their findings are the definitive truth, but we must always do our own fact checking to see if we are being fed the whole story and are we being discouraged from learning how to evaluate the information for ourselves.


The educated skeptics don't say there is no global warming, but the actual argument is the cause.
Reply:Warming is real and normal, human effect is debatable....
Reply:No doubt climate change is taking place. How much can be attributed to human activity and is this the beginning of a catastrophic event for humanity are the questions I don't believe science has the answers for and politicians are exploiting.
Reply:because most of the factories producing pollutants are not on this side of the hemisphere.
