Which Language?
Hi there. I'm interested in learning how to make web sites (not using just templates). The type of web site I would eventually like to create is a social network like myspace/facebook etc. How do you know which programming language to learn and use? Are there advantages and disadvantages for each? Do I need to learn (or should I learn) html first? I'm not asking so much how to program or where to find tutorials, but more like what you need to learn and which languages you choose and why. Is there a particular order I should learn things in (such as html %26gt; sql %26gt; c++ just for example)? Thanks for any help.

Alright, I can code in html, php, javascript, I also know a little vb6, c++ and perl.
I think I'm a great graphic designer and very good in Photoshop, I've made quite a few templates etc.
I know quite alot about hacking e.g. SQL Injections, XSS Injections, php exploits, null bytes, poison bytes, pipping, rooting, network scanning, js injections, cookie stealing.
Program cracking, trainer making, game hacking.
BTW I'm not a geek, but what would you label me as?

I would never call somebody a hacker if they didn't live and breathe either Assembly, C, C++, LISP, or a few other languages. Also, none of your answers on Yahoo! thus far indicate you could even be called an expert. Since you depend on tools made by other programmers, that would make you a script kiddie. Of course, being a script kiddie doesn't mean you're not dangerous... that I could not tell unless I saw your work. I wonder, should I now be afraid that you are going to deface my website with your 1337 skeelz?

Creating a resume database?
I have been asked to create an access databank to keep and track company C.V.s. Any idea where I can get a free sample ms access or some idea on how to create it. I have already checked MS templates but found nothing there. Tnx.

I'm aiming for staying power and a natural look. My natural eyebrow color is black and I have a skin color inbetween an olive and brown.

I looked forever for a natural, long-lasting eye pencil/powder. The best I've found is from Benefit Cosmetics. It's called Brow Zing. Although it's kind of expensive ($28), I've been using the same kit daily for years.
One side is a powder and the other is a wax. It comes with 2 different mini-brushes (awesome) and a tweezer (not so great).
Even though my hair is dark brown, I purchased the "light" version because I didn't want to look like Joan Crawford. :-) Light still comes out really dark brown. Perfect every time.

Its pigmentation is good enough that you wouldn't need an additional pencil, just a good angle brush. You can even dampen the brush to get a more defined line.

Of course the New Testament documents are the most important historical sources for Jesus of Nazareth. No modern scholar thinks of the gospels as bald-faced lies, the result of a massive conspiracy. The interval of time between the events themselves and recording of them in the gospels is too short to have allowed the memory of what had or had not actually happened to be erased.

START / SEttings / Printers and faxes
ADD printer, set to local port on LPT1 to start with
When it gives a list of printers, select have disk
point it at the decompressed files
Let it install
NOW polug in the printer and let it install a 2nd version witth the correct port (USB) and away you go. Test the NEW version and then delete the old one

If I was your teacher I'd give you an A. If this is an assignment you're home free. If you're looking for publication and remuneration... it's not gonna happen nobody has done this kind of thing since the late 19th century - using the initial letter of a word to commence each line. Still it's a darned great endeavor for it's genre. You must have really racked your brain. It's also a darn good tribute to Michelangelo!

If I was your teacher I'd give you an A. If this is an assignment you're home free. If you're looking for publication and remuneration... it's not gonna happen nobody has done this kind of thing since the late 19th century - using the initial letter of a word to commence each line. Still it's a darned great endeavor for it's genre. You must have really racked your brain. It's also a darn good tribute to Michelangelo!

I'm 13 living in toronto. I have some html and css skills. Some flash experience and some very small photoshop experience. Also i have some small experience in Java and C++. I've tried doing online surveys, but never get any offers. Making web pages is fine but where do i start? and how can i beat templates that cost $20? I hope this suggestion was helpful to you. There are other methods than the ebay site, but it seems an easy way to begin.

Seriously, my opinion of all these types of products whether they are said to contain "Natural or herbal" ingredients is that they are just robbing us blind cos we can heal most of that which we ail from simply by increasing our intake of fresh fruit and vegies in our diet. Get your mum to increase her intake of food rich in Vitamin A, Vitamin C and Vitamin E and she will be well on the road to clear fresh healthy skin.
Vitamin A - carrotts, pumpkin, potatoes, cantaloupe
Vitamin C - oranges, lemons, capsicum and potatoes
Vitamin E - green leafy vegies, spinach broccoli and kale and nuts and seeds.
Believe it or not, the power of fresh clean living foods will far outweigh any cream potion or lotion that you will fork out likely too much cash for anyways. Increase your intake of fresh filtered water too. Make sure you include things like pumpkin soup and mashed potatoes and steamed green vegies and loads of fruit salad in two meals per day and just look at the difference in one short week.
No matter what potion or lotion you buy, if you are deficient in vitamin A you will never have clear and fresh skin.

Make sure that in your 2nd column (D) refers to the column cell next to it - D1 refers to C1..... then, you click on D1 and look for the little black box in the right lower corner... it's called the "fill handle"..... click and hold that little box and drag it down your column.
2) If you go to the MS Office Site, you can download all kinds of excel templates and I'm sure there will be something there regarding parts. Just download it and it will install in your MS Excel Templates..... So you would click on File/New/Template on this Computer and it will bring up your General Templates..... and you'll see it there. Excel has many templates that come with it that do some cool things.... parts is not one of them though - lots on the internet to download.

Does this mean that something called "downloader" is on my computer and is infected too. I'm so confused. Also these were ".exe" files, so does that mean since i deleted it it'll be gone forever, or will it come back up? When i scanned it said "Your computer is infected with at least one known virus OR Trojan horse." I understand that trojan horses can come back up. Has anyone heard of these 2 viruses i had and kno whether or not they can come back up too? Or are they gone forever, how can i be sure?

then i would open super anti spyware and do a custom scan and point to c: drive.

If you are on winodws, go to your task manager by pressing alt+ctrl+del and see the list of processes for a suspect process. Rightclick and end the process. Then try deleteing the file.
Things will also improve if you boot your system in safe mode and try finding some manual removal instructions on the web.

XML declaration above DOCTYPE?
What I mean is, should I include the line: "%26lt;?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?%26gt;" at the very top of my web pages? Some pages are XHTML 1.0 compliant and some are valid for XHTML 1.1. Has anyone had a problem with or without this XML declaration line? Some examples I see ( http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/#C_9 ) say to add the line if you can't set Content-Type on the webserver but some othere templates (like here: http://www.webstandards.org/learn/refere... ) don't use it.

In my NETWORK folder, there is Eric-PC. Under Eric-PC, there is WCProInbox and Printers. Under WCProInbox, there are two folders: 0000 and Templates.

I'd go with "Gold Dust", "Gold Standard" or "Celestial Shimmer." Anything with an orange or yellowish hue will be a contrasting color to turquoise and will make the blue/green of your eyes stand out more.

I don't know what version of access you're using, but you would have better luck linking your excel spreadsheet and access table if you use linked tables in microsoft access.

Well! Later on in the update, I suggest that the Democrats I know "would prosecute the authorities who arrested the Fort Dix Six. Not only did investigators racially profile fine, upstanding members of the Fort Dix community, they questioned their immigration status -- that's nobody's business! Then, the Democrats I know should demand that these wannabe terrorists, especially the undocumented ones, be accorded every protection granted US citizens. They should not be banished to Club Gitmo or be classified as enemy combatants. In fact, they ought to be released on their own recognizance -- lest our evil military torture them." They should be given lawyers and access to every constitutional right that US citizens have. Here's the New York Times essentially calling for it:

Vector Addition in MatLab...?
I'm trying to write a vector addition program in MatLab and can't figure out how to do it. This is the first time I am using MatLab to do anything and it is much different than the C++ programming I am used to. If someone could show me a completed vector addition which I could use as a template I would be very appreciative.

MatLab is way easier than c++. You are probably trying to make this harder than it is. If you have defined vector a =[ 1 2 3] and vector b=[2 3 4], than just type a+b to add them. Yes, it's really that simple!
MatLab is short for Matrix Laboratory, and it is very easy to manipulate matrices or vectors in MatLab, once you learn the syntax.

MS Exchange Server 2003 - Wizard won't create mailboxes?
I have installed 5 extra licenses, so I have 15. I went to add a new user through the System Manager wizard, but it failed when it tried to create a mailbox. Oddly enought, the user was created with my template settings perfectly. The user properties look right.
But the new user does not have a mailbox and does not appear in the Global Address list to other group members. The new user can log in, but can't configure to the non-existent mailbox.

I feel a little odd saying this, because I've never experienced success in this field, but have you ever thought of starting an MLM? You know, multi-level marketing.
I know that for a 1.5 GBP price point it might not seem worth it, but usually things that inexpensive don't last too long. And non-durable products have GREAT potential for repeat customers.
And if you can set it up so that your company (which could contract with self-employed sales reps all over the UK... all over Europe... all over Asia... all over the world?) takes a straight 25%.
You make a speech, calling for regional sales representatives. They override regular sales managers or distributors (getting a portion of each sale, without having to do much of the actual work). They're like managers, but they don't require a salary. They have unlimited income potential, if they're good at developing and motivating people.
And as people climb up, you have to do less and less, and still you get paid.
I've always thought it would be awesome to start an MLM, and if you should happen to need an RSM/RSD, I happen to know an ambitious young man who'd LOVE the opportunity (not very subtle, I know).

Ok. I have a LLC. I create Web Sites for services and membership. Every website that I create is a new DBA. My question is the follow... Can i sell units of DBA's memberships? For example, lets suppose that my LLC (MyCorporation, L.L.C.) owns three websites. WebOne, WebTwo and WebThree. Each one of those are DBAs. I have programmers interested in working BUT i do not want them to work for a salary. I'd rather sell them a piece of the DBA so they feel commited to make it work and the best they do, the more the will earn eventually. When I say sell them is actually "giving" them a percent of the DBA at no cost. When profits start, then they will get what's equivalent to their percent.

I have povray3.6, how do I use this program?
you haven't compiled it yet. either compile it with a c compiler or download the precompiled version.
pov ray doesn't do hardly anything by itsself, it is an extremely complicated command line program. to use it effectively you need a GUI. google 'pov ray gui' and see what you get.
Reply:The code is not C++, but simple POV code that happens to be too long for a beginner to go through. Please read the tutorial that is provided with the POV-Ray installation. This is a simple and powerful ray-tracer, but you do need to read the manual, or you can't do anything.

I have povray3.6, how do I use this program?
you haven't compiled it yet. either compile it with a c compiler or download the precompiled version.
pov ray doesn't do hardly anything by itsself, it is an extremely complicated command line program. to use it effectively you need a GUI. google 'pov ray gui' and see what you get.
Reply:The code is not C++, but simple POV code that happens to be too long for a beginner to go through. Please read the tutorial that is provided with the POV-Ray installation. This is a simple and powerful ray-tracer, but you do need to read the manual, or you can't do anything.
