Please please please please HELP!!! 10 points will be given?

i just scanned my computer it says





C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Local Settings\Temp\xpre.exe is infected with Downloader


C:\Documents and Settings\Compaq_Owner\Local Settings\Temp\xrun.exe is infected with Downloader








i went to My Computer %26gt;%26gt; Local Settings %26gt;%26gt; Templates %26gt;%26gt; and deleted the "xrun.exe %26amp; xpre.exe" but it says its associated with "downloader"?? what does this mean. Does this mean that something called "downloader" is on my computer and is infected too. I'm so confused. Also these were ".exe" files, so does that mean since i deleted it it'll be gone forever, or will it come back up? When i scanned it said "Your computer is infected with at least one known virus OR Trojan horse." I understand that trojan horses can come back up. Has anyone heard of these 2 viruses i had and kno whether or not they can come back up too? Or are they gone forever, how can i be sure?

I would download super anti spyware; update it with the latest patches then disable your internet. or unplug it....





then i would open super anti spyware and do a custom scan and point to c: drive.





I can guarantee that this will rid Downloader. After the scan is complete, you will be prompted to reboot your system.





Would love to see the results once done.

Reply:I'v not wrestled wit downloader as yet, but the files you are talking about, I suspect are associated with a running process named downloade. If you are on winodws, go to your task manager by pressing alt+ctrl+del and see the list of processes for a suspect process. Rightclick and end the process. Then try deleteing the file.





Things will also improve if you boot your system in safe mode and try finding some manual removal instructions on the web.





Does'nt your antivirus get hold of it or something?

Reply:Have you downloaded something recently,? music,games, songs anything because if you have this problem that you're facing is definetely from there, Trojan horse is a virus which comes back no matter what you do, scan it, put on a virus scanner do anything it always comes back, unless you change your computer. So, you computer is infected and it's not going, Hope I helped!!! I hope you get your former computer status back!!! (REALLY I MEAN IT!!!!!)

Reply:just run the virus scan and it should quarantine the virus and trojans. after the scan is done go to the quarantine and just empty it or delete the files in it.
