2 Part question?

first part%26gt;

in excell, how do I set up a column to do the same thing all the way down the column? in other words I want column D to be the answer of 50% of C (the number that is in cell C)

second part for MS Access:

does anyone have a premade database tht they would like to share that will allow you to track inventory, a simple database. ms office templates will not work for what i need. thanks to all who answer! :)

2 Part question?
1) Airdog is correct..... Make sure that in your 2nd column (D) refers to the column cell next to it - D1 refers to C1..... then, you click on D1 and look for the little black box in the right lower corner... it's called the "fill handle"..... click and hold that little box and drag it down your column.

2) If you go to the MS Office Site, you can download all kinds of excel templates and I'm sure there will be something there regarding parts. Just download it and it will install in your MS Excel Templates..... So you would click on File/New/Template on this Computer and it will bring up your General Templates..... and you'll see it there. Excel has many templates that come with it that do some cool things.... parts is not one of them though - lots on the internet to download.
Reply:For the first part, Once you have the forumla set in Column D, There is a little black sqaure in the bottom right corner. just drag that down to every cell you to use that forumla.

Type =(C1*0.5) [according to ur example, u can calculate the percentage as u wish] in the D1 cell, copy the formula u just typed and select the whole D coloumn by clicking on the D coloumn header and paste the formula. This is how i copy my formulas in excel and this way it works fine. I hope that this will help u. Good luck.
